Ozone Alert! Season Starts June 1

During the summer, Kansas City is more vulnerable to unhealthy ozone pollution, largely because emissions from motor vehicles, lawn mowers, power plants and industry react with heat and sunlight.
Between June 1 and September 30, when the area is under an Ozone Alert!, one-way Metro bus fare will be only 75¢ for all customers. The special Ozone Alert! fare includes a transfer upon request, and is also available on The JO, Unified Government Transit and IndeBus.
