Troost MAX Timeline
Troost MAX is scheduled to open in 2010. Refer to the construction schedules for Troost BRT north, Troost BRT south and Troost BRT miscellaneous locations.
Summer 2009: KCATA enters into contracts for station construction, pavement construction, and traffic signal improvements.
- 42 concrete bus pads, new curbs, ADA compliant ramps and surface improvements
- 30 intersections with Traffic Signal Priority
- 31 of 42 station sites. Concrete foundations, platform, pedestrian connections & electrical
August 2009: Construction for station construction, pavement construction and traffic signal improvements begins and continues through July 2010.
September 2009: KCATA to enter into contracts for 11 remaining stations, park and rides, streetscaping, landscaping and building of shelters and station markers.
Fall 2009 – Summer 2010: Construction continues.
March 2010: Troost MAX buses delivered for testing.
Summer 2010: KCATA will test the technologies used by MAX, including the traffic signal prioritization and real-time arrival signs.
Late Summer/Fall 2010: MAX station construction will be completed.
Troost MAX service begins.
