Renew Your Card Today!

The Metro’s 2007-2008 Youth Reduced Farecards will expire August 31, 2008. Cardholders must renew their cards to continue paying discounted fares or buying a monthly bus pass for only $20. Base fare with the card is only 60 cents on most Metro and Unified Government Transit buses.

The youth farecard is the way for youths ages 12 to 18 to ride The Metro for half-price. Without the farecard, regular adult fares would apply. Children ages 6 to 11 may ride for half-fare without the youth card.
Renewal applications have been mailed to youths whose farecards will expire at the end of the month.

If you need a new application, call The Metro’s Regional Call Center at (816) 221-0660. Youth Applications are also in PDF format.

It takes two weeks to process and mail the reduced farecard. Valid identification (a copy of a birth certificate or state-issued ID card) and a $1 processing fee are required.

For further information, you may contact the Regional Call Center at (816) 221-0660, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
