#55-Rockhill Service Reduction Public Meetings

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) will hold a public meeting to discuss proposed service reductions on the #55-Rockhill route. The change would take effect in October, and is necessary to adjust service to current ridership. Several trips on this route have low ridership.

The meeting will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, at UMKC’s University Center, 5000 Holmes Rd. The public may also submit comments in writing at , or KCATA Planning Dept., 1200 E. 18th St., KCMO, 64106. Persons may also call a special phone line at (816) 346-0858.

KCATA is seeking input from customers and interested persons on the proposal to eliminate all of the short trips from downtown to Meyer & Rockhill and two trips serving downtown to Mews Dr. & Shepherd Dr.

Morning rush hour trips would operate from about 6:28 to 8:20 a.m. and afternoon rush hour service would be from 4:40 to 6:30 p.m.
