Commuter Express Fare Increase Effective January 2009
Monthly bus pass prices and fares will increase on the #170-Blue Springs Express and #152-Lee’s Summit/Raytown Express. Effective January 1, 2009, the one-way fare for #170-Blue Springs Express and #152-Lee’s Summit/Raytown Express will be $3. Monthly passes will increase to $95, effective with the January pass.
The fare increases are in response to rising costs of operating Metro service. The increases have been determined by the cities of Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit and the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority.
Informational meetings about the fare changes will be held early in December:
Blue Springs: Wednesday, Dec. 3, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Howard Brown Public Safety Bldg. Multipurpose Room, 1100 S.W. Smith
Lee’s Summit: Thursday, Dec. 4, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Lee’s Summit City Hall, Howard “A” Conference Room, 2nd floor, 220 S.E. Green St.
