How to pay.

There are plenty of options to pay your fare.
A Three-Day Visitor’s Pass is available in advance from our online store.
If you are already in town you can purchase a Day Pass, good until midnight, for $3 on board the bus.
Regular cash fare is $1.50 per ride, and you can request a transfer that is good for two hours.
You can also use a Change Card to get around. Request a Change Card when you deposit $5, $10 or $20 in the farebox, and you’ll have stored Metro fare for several more trips.

You can plan a trip with Google Transit or The Metro’s Trip Planner. Or, call 816-221-0660 from 6 a.m to 7 p.m. on weekdays to speak with a Call Center agent. Language translation service is available.

Airport: During weekdays, the #129 serves the airport Terminal C. There is a KCI shuttle bus that travels between terminals.

If you are arriving or leaving in the evening or weekend, travelers should arrange for a ride on #229, which is a MetroFlex service. MetroFlex buses do not have a specific route or published times, but travels from the airport to downtown Kansas City. Travel is provided on a pre-arranged basis, with 24-hour advance notice. The number for MetroFlex is 816-346-0346.

Amtrak at Union Station: Main Street MAX offers the most frequent service to Union Station. #57, #142, #173, #27, #51 and #123 also travel to Union Station. The Amtrak terminal is located inside Union Station, on the east side of the building.

Greyhound Bus Terminal: #12-12th Street, #25-Troost, and #108-Indiana serve the Greyhound bus terminal at 1101 Troost. Both routes offer frequent trips from downtown Kansas City.
