Human Resources Coordinator

Description

This position is responsible for performing a variety of professional, complex, and analytical assignments and tasks in the development, coordination, administration, and implementation of the KCATA’s Human Resource programs.  This position will serve as liaison, coordinator, and the initial contact for departments and employees in their requests for personnel services and/or information in the following functional areas:  EAP, recruitment and selection, wellness, training, and staff development, affirmative action, new hire orientation and employee assistance programs.

Qualifications

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or Public Administration in addition to generalist knowledge and at minimum two years experience in at least six of the following areas: 1) Employment Law, 2) Government Compliance Regulations, 3) Recruitment and Selection, 4) Affirmative Action/EEO, 5) Program Evaluation, 6) Compensation & Benefits, 7) Wellness, and/or 8) Family Medical Leave.

Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or Management
- Extensive knowledge and experience in recruitment and selection
- Extensive Knowledge and two years experience implementing Wellness Programs

Compensation

Commensurate with experience.
