KCATA Installs New Graffiti-Resistant Shelters

(Kansas City, Mo., May 27, 2025) – On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 10 a.m. the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) will install its newest graffiti-resistant bus shelter on Prospect at 75th St. This stop is connected to the 75th & Prospect MAX Transit Center at Alphapointe. A total of 10 shelters have arrived, with 20 more on order.

“These new shelters are just one of many steps being taken to improve the customer experience while waiting at bus stops,” said Frank White III, KCATA president and CEO. “Thank you to the Federal Transit Administration and our federal legislators for the capital grants that are making this sprucing-up possible.”

  2. Independence Ave. & Woodland
  3. St. Lukes Medical Center Plaza
  4. Barry & N. Oak
  5. 31st & Troost
  6. Plaza (3 stops)
