Monday is Bus Driver Appreciation Day

Posted on: Mar 14, 2013

A simple “Thank You” can go a long way. Monday, March 18, is International Bus Driver Appreciation Day. KCATA would like to ask riders to make a special effort say “Thank you” to their bus drivers on Monday. Just a friendly smile and “Thank you!” will do. If you want to go a little further, you can find printable cards at this website. We appreciate our drivers who do their best to keep passengers safe and buses running on schedule, despite challenges like unpredictable traffic and bad weather. Help us spread the word to your fellow riders, family, friends and coworkers.

Why March 18?

That's the day that bus service is believed to have debuted in Paris in 1662. (Source: http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2008/03/dayintech_0318)
